On February 23rd, ten members of the Daingerfield FFA traveled to Timpson to compete in the Timpson FFA Invitational Public Speaking Contest. The results for the contest were as follows:
DHS junior, Jordan Tigert placed 1st in the Senior Prepared - Agricultural Technology and Communication division and placed 1st in the Extemporaneous Speech division; DHS sophomore, Ashley Ordonez placed 5th in the Senior Prepared - Animal Science division; DHS sophomore, Maria Lopez placed 1st in the Senior Prepared - Soil Stewardship division; DHS freshman, Arryanna Evans placed 1st in the Senior Prepared - Agricultural Policy division.
DJHS 8th graders, Izayah Green, Allana Kennemer, Olivia Whitchurch, Adrian Bazan, Mi'Angel Brewer, and Maryann Calderon all participated in the Junior Prepared Speech division and placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th respectively.
